Inconel 718 Precipitation Enhanced Nickel-Based Superalloy
|
Inconel 718 Features and Applications Overview:
|
The alloy has a good overall performance in the temperature range of -253 ~ 700 ℃. The yield strength below 650 ℃ ranks first in the deformed superalloy and has good resistance to fatigue, radiation, oxidation and corrosion as well as good Processing performance, good welding performance. Can produce a variety of complex shapes of parts and components, in the aerospace, nuclear energy, petroleum industry and extrusion die, in the above temperature range has been very widely used.

|
Inconel 718 process performance and requirements:
|
1, Due to the high niobium content in Inconel718 alloy, the degree of niobium segregation in the alloy is directly related to the metallurgical process.
2, in order to avoid the element segregation in the ingot too heavy, the ingot diameter of not more than 508mm.
3, the homogenized alloy has good hot workability, ingot billet heating temperature shall not exceed 1120 ℃.
4, the alloy grain size and the average forging deformation degree, final forging temperature is closely related.
5, the alloy has satisfactory welding performance, available welding, electron beam welding, seam welding, spot welding and other methods of welding.
6, different alloy solution treatment and aging process will get different material properties. Due to the low diffusion rate of the γ "phase, Inconel 718 alloys get the best mechanical properties through prolonged aging.
